Greetings,

We have a client that wishes to install a 100Base-T network adapter
(A3495-60001).

After physically installing the card and connecting it via a CAT5 UTP
fly-lead to a HP Switch800T/Advancestack Hub the link beat light never
comes on. The 800T does not show the connection as being up either.

I would have expected the network card to have indicated a successful
connection to the switch with a link beat even though the network
drivers have not yet started.

I have tried to set the network card and the switch to autosense the
connection. I have also tried to configure 10, 100 Mbit connections in
both Simplex and Full duplex. Using NMMGR and on the 800T. Still no
joy.

Even after configuring the 100BaseT card in nmmgr, I am still not able
to start networking and the link beat still does not come on.

I consistently get the following error.

<snip> INTERNAL ERROR; Device Open <snip>

I have a 959 and a 968 both displaying the same behaviour. Both
machines have been upgraded to PP4.

All help greatly appreciated!
