You should download the latest version of LZW from the Telamon site.

LZW: (C) 1991, 2000 - Telamon, Inc. - Version A.03.53 [A.02.04] (Jan 14 2003)
(Unisys U.S. Patent No. 4,558,302 - see -about for details)
It has an additional parameter which allows you compress files which have
block sizes greater than 16384 bytes.
The new parameter is -maxrec 32760, compliments of Randy Medd..
It also has a fix for a problem with compressing variable-length record files.

I am trying to compress some Orbit backup disk files and I am able to do it
for the first one with Fixed Bytes, but can't do the rest.
Can anyone tell if Quark or LZW is able to do this, or even something else.
