Could you use some of the examples that Lars did and create a
webservice using MPE Sockets programming? You could wip up a simple
HTTP service to accept the curl calls and respond in kind.

If you're using Cobol you could also use Duane's socket library which
has a prebuilt server example. Just another thought...
