Don't know how much effort the date handling functions would be
for Jeff V, but this one also sounds like a potential candidate
for the "Contribution Funded Enhancement" flavour to me (which
does not mean that I am raising my hand to implement it ;-)

Keeping in mind that COBOL offers $CONTROL POST85 date FUNCTIONs
like INTEGER-TO-DAY and DAY-TO-INTEGER, it might be a reasonable
small task to create two little programs doing something like a
call to GETINFO to read an input parm, process it with one of the
COBOL date functions and return the result via HPCIPUTVAR to some
auxiliary CI variable like HPRESULT.

Won't bet on it but could probably be available much faster than
Jeff can implement, test and submit to a patch or express release.
(And it would probably save time for Jeff to work on functions).

Lars (just plugging the other CFE idea ;-)
