Thanks to all who responded to Regression Testing....?

I am dismayed that, after spending 5 years learning formal software development methods and their value, it was only in my second profesional position (the first not involving programming) that I was allowed to use them. Hence, my anology of art projects vs. engineering projects. Heck, the Math department even took it to a higher plain, with methods on "proving" code to be correct.

From the responses to my post, it appears that there still are organizations that use formal methods, yea verily, even in the business environment. I am frustrated that I have not crossed paths with them when making career changes. A tip o' th' hat to you.
