I use a very simple method to do call detail recording on my HP3000.
I connected the output printer port (log device) on my MITEL telephone
switch an HP3000 DTC serial port. I used only pins 2 and 7 (Receive data
and Signal ground). Ross Scrogs taught me this- if you use the Send pin
(3) you may send an XOFF and hang up the phone system- I would rathe
loose data. (I may be wrong on pins 2 & 3 they may be reversed) I then
run FCOPY to log the data comeing in from the PBX to a file. It now is
very simple to produce all sorts of reports.
