How does using host commands and OLE from Reflection/1 to Microsoft Word
sound? (haven't tried MS-92, but then, I just got my hands on MS-92)...

Also, it can be done, with much more pain, with WordPerfect 6.x for
Windows and DDE. Maybe when Corel got ahold of WordPerfect, they put OLE
into it, but when I had to do it, it was DDE or nothing. Using Word was a
much more elegant solution --- just send the Reflection Basic commands
from your COBOL program when a function key is pressed, and Word starts
up, brings up the appropriate template, does the merge (like a mailmerge
function) and prints it out on the laserjet or other laser printer.

You can even let the user make changes to the letter before printing ---
heck, it beats HP Word (hehehe, remember that?). Quite the elegant
solution.

Best,
Joe
