If you are talking about an 'ATP' connector then 2 & 3 are the same. Pin 1

Subject: [HP3000-L] Need pinout

What are the pin assignments (1,2,3) for TD, RD and SGND for a 3 pin serial
connect on the back of the DTC? I know that they are 2,3,7 respectively for
a DB25 adapter.
