Hi all,

It's been quite some time since I've used QUERY, so I have a
question or two that hopefully I can get answered:

In SUPRTOOL, I can create an SD output file that I can
actually read back in and use for later processing by SUPRTOOL, however,
a QUERY SD file seems to be all but useless since I can't really do
anything with it in QUERY (that I can ascertain at the moment). For
example, in SUPRTOOL, I'd read through a million entries and output the
2,000 I needed to work with later on, but in QUERY, I seem to be locked
into rereading the entire million entries each time to work with the
2000 entries I want because I can't create an extract that QUERY can use
as input.

Am I just missing the obvious in the QUERY manual (what to
do with an SD file), or is the obvious that a QUERY SD file is useless?

TIA,
