Hey,
Don't take this traffic away..... It is how I learn about stuff I don't get
to play with!!!!!

Thanks,
Art Bahrs

Keep it here, please. I agree that this will have a tremendous
impact, and don't wanna miss out!

Subject: Samba alpha/beta testing list traffic

I've traded email with Lar's on this subject, and we'd like to get a
feel from the HP3000-L on whether you want the email concerning
the early testing of Samba to be on this list. Probably for a while
there will be a lot of mail regarding the early ports and the problems
discovered therein. If the consensus is to move it elsewhere until
it's a little more ready for primetime, then I'm willing to host a
Sambaix list or discussion area at editcorp.com. If people don't
mind the "early noise", then we can carry it out here. The traffic
will definitely increase soon.
I believe this port when (when not if!) it is successful will have a
profound impact on the 3000 community. It will allow easy access
to both the HFS and traditional MPE files from the PC desktop, much
like any other file server. I personally can't wait!

So, keep the traffic here or find it a new (temporary) home elsewhere?

Regards,
Michael L Gueterman
