As moderator of the IMAGE-HP Database Roundtable
at HPWORLD '97, I would like to add my encouragement
to do as Stan suggested. For some time now I have been
of the opinion that there is no real advantage in "surprising"
HP with a question at any of the roundtables at HP World.
Doing so only increases the chances that the answer will
be some form of "I don't know, but we'll check on that and
get back to you". Even if they do eventually get back to
the person asking the question (and Interex will be following
up to try and make sure that happens), it just introduces delay.
Anyway, I just did a quick check of all the roundtables on
the Interex web site and so far there have only been a few
questions submitted. Interex really has done a good job
setting up the roundtable web pages this year. I hope many
more users will take advantage of the opportunity to pre-
submit.
As a further inducement to pre-submit, note that at least for
the IMAGE-HP Database Roundtable we are going to try and
get through ALL of the pre-submitted questions before taking
questions from the floor (although limited direct follow-ups to
pre-submitted questions will be allowed as we are going
through them).
So go for it, people... I just know there are a lot more
questions out there that y'all want to ask.....
