Hi Stan:
If you know that Pascal I/O is _slow_, than you must know _why_ is it
slow. I can go even further. You wrote some part of the MPE system, the
STORE. You should write a transparent fast version of the Pascal I/O
standard predicates. I mean transparent that their calling syntax must be
the same, and if somebody buys your system then he/she need's only replace
the P'... entries in the SL which stand for the standard Pascal
procedures and function (and perhaps replace the Pascal compiler with your
improved one).
Here is a challenge for you!
