Hello,
I've not encountered this, but this may help: (our tape unit is on
LDEV 7)
devctrl.mpexl.telesup dev=7;load=online
We include this command in a file which 'tests' the tape for having
loaded correctly. We store a few files to the tape, then issue this
command to put it back online. It may help to force the tape to
begin at the beginning.
