Apache/iX has just been upgraded to 1.2b6. No new MPE port functionality
has been added, but many other internal changes were done by the official
authors in 1.2b6. The official release of Apache 1.2 is imminent, and if I
want to have MPE support included, I need to submit the patches next week.

The more HP3000-L people that test Apache/iX in the next few days, the better!

From the Apache/iX web page:

What's New

   * January 30, 1997:
        o MPE patches carried forward to the newly released 1.2b6.
        o Support removed for mod_fastcgi. With 1.2b6, mod_fastcgi is no
          longer bundled with the Apache source distribution. I will
          provide support for both the server side and the client side at
          the same time on a future date.
        o APACHE account creation instructions modified to include
          CAP=ND,SF,IA,BA,PH for SERVER.APACHE. The PH is required for CGI
          to work.

The Apache group is about to issue a release candidate final beta for 1.2.
If I want MPE support to be included in the 1.2 official release, I must
submit the patches next week (February 3-7). The more people that exercise
Apache/iX during the next few days, the better.
