The only "open" standard about the Web is the HyperText Transfer Protocol
(http) and HyperText Markup Language (html).  Helper Apps and integration of
services within any particular browser are up for grabs and powerplays.  The
Web client is quickly becoming the "one stop shop" of internet services.
