They could learn about the HPe3000 the same way I did.
I went to college and learned all about Unix. Got my first
job, learned more about Unix, got my second job learned a little
about the Unisys OS (MCP or something like that) and was
finally rescued by an Amisys shop! It was in this Amisys
shop (Gulf South Health Plans/General Health Systems) that
I learned about MPE. After over 6 years as a programmer then
a system manager at GSHP/GHS I was *very* lucky and honored to
get a job at Allegro.
My point? As long as the Software vendors and even more so the
System Managers and Managers in general can promote the HPe3000
rather then jumping on the Unix/whatever bandwagon there is hope.
