1st question; number between 12 and 5.  First thought was, it's a trick
question.
Nothing is between 12 and 5, however I did figure that 7 is between 5 and
12.
And I do think it was probably because of 12 minus 5 equals 7
 and that's why it is worded it that order.

2nd question; name a veggie.  First thought; tomato, then no wait, is that
a veggie? then
maybe potatoe, then no wait is that one? maybe corn.  by then it's arrgg,
trying to quickly
answer a question when the brain has gone numb...  but no carrots came to
mind.

So what's the trick there?
