IEM 4451s AutoChanger doesn't autoload

I've got an IEM 4451S 6 tape DDS3 autochanger connected to a 979 which has
decided to stop autoloading the first tape when the cartridge is loaded.
Once you load the tape manually the backup/restore works fine.

Does anybody know the setting(s) to force an autoload. I can't get any
response from IEM's support site.
