I would have to add my voice with the "don't include the CR on a partial
line" crowd. I expect the paste to behave as though I'm typing and I
didn't cut any trailing CR (I *do* want the other CRs for multi-line
cuts, as has already been said in this thread). I like to look at the
line first, and maybe backspace once or twice or add a char or two (if I
fat fingered the cut) and *then* hit that final CR myself.

Side note...I am fairly new to using a PC as my desktop device (used to
use a 9000 workstation - what can I say? I work for HP :-) The cut/paste
in X-windows was wonderful, the PC way is intolerable.

In X-windows:

click/drag  does the 'cut' (copy actually).
click mouse button 2 (or 3 depending on the appl) to paste.

No need to touch the keyboard or menu pull-downs at all!

Any chance you could implement the X-windows method into QCTerm too Wirt
(like you have nothing else to do :-) Be the first on your block to
bring PC Windows cut/paste into the early '90s.
