If you don't mind writing some mail headers, there's always the (FREE) port
of Sendmail. There's a link to it on the jazz site and it works fine (needs
Syslog/iX but that also works fine).

You'll need to let the 3000 have access to (external) DNS and access to port
25 out of the firewall to actually send the mail out. An alternate solution
is to relay the mail to your regular SMTP mailserver and let it do all the
work.
