Been there, done that.  Really, Hughes has several interfaces
to Image and AllBase backends.  One PowerBuilder, three Omnis,
6 Visual Basic, and a couple Excel 5.0 (via VB for apps.).
The PowerBuilder one is the most robust and full featured.  It
was also the quickest to implement.  The Omnis was used in
situations where Windows *and* MAC clients had to be supported.
The VB and Excel interfaces are "query" only interfaces.
