Thanks to all of you who submitted an example. Here's an additional
problem.

Is there something available that will process each file it encounters
within group.account
examine the text for a string and spew out a line count that could be
deducted from the
total lines.

This is what I am getting at:

linecount - commentlinecount = truecount

I attempted to use FSEARCHEXP but did not quite work. The code executed but
gave
the same count which appeared to be the total count within group.account
