Boy, it seems to be true. If my neighbor loses his job, it's a recession. If
I lose my job, it's a depression.

This thread has progressed surprisingly rapidly from mild worry to
xenophobia, scapegoatism, demogoguery, jingoism masking as patriotism, and
now to outright militancy. Welcome to the Germany of the 1930's.

Civilization is probably a thinner veneer than most of us would care to think.
