Hello All,
RE: NETXPORT TCP SIP
Plan for a system restart after changing this parameter... increasing the maximum
number of TCP connection increases the size of an internal data structure and I
have seen several mem dumps where just stopping and restarting the network did
not rebuild the data structure due to past hung TCP connections, but did increase
the size counter... thus a hang "rather than an error message" is seen when
attempting to establish connections past the prior TCP connections limit.

since 2 days we recieve the following messages on our HP3000/979
NETXPORT TCP SIP
Max connections exceeded
Yesterday we stopped network services (netcontrol stop, nscontrol stop)
after restarting everything seemed to be fine - now we have the same
problem again.
any ideas
TIA Friedrich
