Although we are getting posts to Usenet within minutes, and the replies to
my query on speed have shown that most people who use Usenet see posts from
the list within an hour - we are still having problems getting the new posts
from Usenet (which we get every 15 minutes as well) back to the list.

The problem has been posed to several units within Microsoft as well as
other people who we know. Apparently, this is a new function to everyone I
speak to - although they all say "it can be done".

Please be assured, we're doing all that we can to get the gateway
"bidirectional". Because of the speed at which American forwards posts (the
original complaint), the stuff comes back from Usenet slowly.

I was hoping that we could keep the feed FROM American going until we get
this figured out. I leave that decision to Jeff. If you want your posts to
make it "round trip" - send them to the list. If sent to the list, they are
sent to the gateway, and picked up on Usenet very quickly.

BTW - if there are any Exchange 5.5 gurus out there who might want to render
some assistance as well - I'd be happy as hell to hear from you too :)

Best Regards,
Joe
