Stan Sieler wrote a private reply to my earlier posting today. I don't
believe that Stan will have any objection to my sharing several of his
comments, all of which are pertinent.

1. COMMUNICATIONS

Stan writes:

>Maybe someone who'll be there with a cellular phone,
>can post a phone number to enable stragglers to call for info/directions?

I had meant to mention that earlier. Commencing on August 1, the day we
depart, I will have with me my cellular phone [(505) 644-3737]. This number
will be active for at least the business hours, August 1, the day we depart,
through August 5, the day of the poster's assembly.

In addition, on the day of the poster, our toll-free number will be forwarded
to the cellular number above, which we'll have at the field. That number is
(800) AICS-INC [(800) 242-7462]. This will allow you to call from any phone
at no charge. However, if you should get voice mail on the 800 number, please
try the cellular number directly.

2. RECORDING FOR POSTERITY.

Stan also writes:

I can only say that that would be excellent. I'm sure that most people would
be very interested in seeing the result.

3. POSTER ASSEMBLY

>I'd refer to it as "partial pre-taping", or some such, to preserve the
>feeling/impression that a "puzzle"/jigsaw is being assembled at the site,
>which might be necessary for the Guiness Record.

The last impression that I want to portray is that this poster is
"pre-assembled" and is going to be a snap to put together.

4. TRANSPORTATION

>...any thought about getting a bus to take a bunch of people to/from
>the field / conference-hotel?

That's being looked into right now. We'll let you know the outcome as soon as
we have something definite. At worst, we might be have to carpool back and
forth by meeting at pre-arranged sites.
