You are correct Bruce, and I should have clarified the statement with "if
you wanted to migrate your applications to the PA-RISC architecture.  You
can run in Compatibility Mode (CM) in most cases, OCTCOMP your code to gain
some performance advantage, but to get full NM performance advantages, a
recompile (or more) was needed.

I got quite a bit of mail over that statement...apologies to those who may
have misunderstood, and "thank you's" for those who nicely pointed out my
omission.
