I was asked to write a simple job to do a LISTF,2 repeatedly and SPECIFICALLY report the time of each LISTF.

Outside of MPEX, because these are VAM files and MPEX does not report accurately the EOF of VAM files.

So my boss, to verify it needs to be done did a LISTF,2 on his screen to make sure an extra SHOWTIME was called for.

There was now time displayed so we believed an extra SHOWTIME command was neccessary.

Later this evening, I write the job and I test my first version without a SHOWTIME command line and start reading the $STDLIST.

Lo and behold ye of little faith!  

In a JOB, there is a time stamp at the beginning of each LISTF,2!
