Nothing the Japanese could do would have stopped the US Navy.  Simply because
we built ships at something like 10 times the rate that Japan was capable of
even before we started bombing them.  The #1 thing that the Japanese did
wrong in the entire war was to attack Pearl Harbor.  Important history
lesson: Do NOT start a fight with someone far bigger and stronger than you.
