Hi!
I'm looking for some ideas on the best way to upgrade to a HP Model 20
RAID system.
Currently I have 967sx with 6GB internal and 2GB external, all are part
of the MPEXL_...volume set. MPEix 5.0
I have just received a Model 20 RAID system with 24GB. I plan on using
RAID-1 mirrored pairs, for a usable space of 12GB.
I will soon be upgrading to 5.5.
I know I can do the following steps to move to RAID:
Full Backup
Unconfigure the 2GB drives
configure the RAID as MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET
Install the OS
Reload my data.
My questions:
What other ways (better) are there?
Can I do some sort of disk to disk copy for the user data?
Any other great ideas?
On a related note:
I will soon be purchasing a HP Netserver for a Win/NT server.
Can I use the other data path on the RAID drives for the Netserver?
TIA
