Hi all,

Excuse me for butting in, but I've seen some rumblings on this thread
about using the dread UNIX escape character to parse POSIX filenames on
the MPE side. Instead of flaming on about how ridiculous and utterly
incomprehensible the escape character mechanism is, I offer the
following example.

Get into the POSIX shell and execute the following commands:

echo f\\\\\\\\\\n

ls f\\\\\\\\\\n

Explain the results.
