I'm not sure about the A-class, but I believe the fans in the N-class are
pretty damn fancy fans. IIRC, they are variable-speed and hot-swappable
with rotational sensing and the system actually synchronizes all of them to
run at precisely the same speed at any given time.

HP will sell you one for $118.00, but it looks like you can get the same fan
from DigiKey for about $90, though you have to buy them 10 at a time.
I'm pretty sure of that the design of the A-Class rack-optimized server did
not include accounting for its use in a quiet office :-)
