Hello all,

Acquaintance of mine has just transitioned from a 957, I think on 6.?, to a
new N series, 220Mhz on 7.0 . They have ~150 users, some on Muxs distributed
around the local city, others in remote cities with their own DTCs over
Frame Relay etc. The transition has basically been painless, but for one
small item. On the 957 the response was stable and predictable, with only
one or two heavy load, well known activities that had any impact. On the N
however, there are fairly regular pauses in response that initially look
like connection lost, or system hung or a very heavy load has taken over.
These pauses are about 3-5 seconds long, spread over all the local
connections that I know of - not sure if everybody sees the same pauses at
the same time.
The i/o config was basically copied over from the 957, with a few extra
ldevs configured, but no significant changes.

Is there something in 7.0 that we need to configure or check, or...... ?????

Appreciate any tips you can think of.

TIA,

John Pitman
