Hi James,
    Um... how to find your contract rep??  I am checking on that one for you :)
I just call my local HP office and start asking people who I should talk to...
and yep I do get bounced a bit... but hey!  I do get an answer...eventually
heheheh

As for the hang while booting?   My 957 did that once... bout a year or so again
(would have to check the gold book for actual date) and the SCSI card did die
about a month later ... but only took LDev access for Dev's #7 & 8  my reel to
reel and DDS tape drives

Yeah, so how.

Anyhow.......so I'm rebooting the 987 at 4:30 am and it asks
"boot from primary path?".  I say yep.  It says "booting..."
and that's it.  Retried 3 times then applied the PC principle
and powered everything down including the UPS (overkill?).
Talked to our local CE and he (good guy) said "must'a had
a hang on a SCSI card.  HHmmph.
