Re: HP's parts supply for LaserJets...

In virtually every case, parts for any HP LaserJet are readily available thru
suppliers other than HP.  The only possible exception would be the LaserJet
2000.  If support for any LaserJet other than that unit isn't both cheap and
easy, then something is wrong.  We never buy any LJ parts from HP.  We just
deal with a group of distributors.  This is so because the mechanical parts
in LJs are made by Cannon, not HP.  The parts that fail are not the plastic
on the logic board(s).  The IIISi/4Si units are great printers.  Simple
maintenance will keep them printing forever.
