It might work, but I won't count on it. Resource sharing and Samba both
require ports 137 & 139. You have to choose one or another. Resource
sharing code needs PM, on MPEiX 5.5 I had seen system aborts caused by
Resource sharing... I'd bet the odds on an abort would go up on 6.5 and
7.0.
If you are migrating the customer from an existing HP e3000 to the N4000,
Set up Samba on the N4000 - leave the existing e3000 in place. Then drag
and copy the resource shares off the older e3K into the new Samba shares.
That would give the customer almost the same functionality. Samba offers
some better features, such a better printer support, better file name
support, but not quite as good for controlling/limiting the amount of
resources the individual can use (file space limits).
