I have used a DDS2 drive for some time. It uses the default 4mm driver
supplied by MS. Run the backup software that came with Win 98 and follow the
instructions.

P.S. Haven't used Win 95/98 for many years and not sure of the details any
more.

Subject: [HP3000-L] OT: Win 98 drivers for DDS-2 Tape Drive

I got a hold of an HP DDS2 tape drive at a salvage sale, very cheap, and
thought that I could possibly use it to back up the data at my home PC. Is
anyone using such a drive on a Windows 98 machine? If so I'd like to know
if any special drivers are needed and possibly where I can get them from.

Regards
Paul Christidis
