David Burney (obviously an email neophyte) writes (IN CAPS):
>I HAVE A FORMFILE FOR A MENU SYSTEM THAT IS FULL.
>I HAVE ALREADY DELETED UNUSED FORMS AND REORGANIZED IT.
>I KNOW ABOUT "VMERGE"
>
>IS THERE ANY OTHER PROCESS THAT I CAN USE TO GET MORE ROOM,
>OR IS THERE SOMETHING IN A NEW RELEASE THAT WILL HELP ME?
>CURRENTLY I AM ON RELEASE 5.5 PP4
>
>THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP.
You can use MPE/iX to create a newer, bigger file for you.
:COPY form,newform
:PURGE form
:BUILD form;REC=-256,1,F,ASCII;DISC=number;CODE=VFORM
:FCOPY FROM=newform;TO=form
Replace "form" with the name of your forms file (the "source", not
the compiled form), "newform" with a good backup file name, and
"number" with some number of records that is sufficiently larger than
the current forms file EOF for your purposes.
Oh, and don't write in all CAPS. It's considered rude by some.
