Does anyone recognize this series of unfortunate events from our console
log? If so, what is the likely culprit?
(OUTPUT)17:10/53/Output spooler, LDEV #230: Received a command while
outputting a file.
(OUTPUT)17:10/53/Output spooler, LDEV #230: FDEVICECONTROL error. Native
Mode Spooler message 9547
(OUTPUT)17:10/53/Output spooler, LDEV #230: IPC error while trying to close
the printer connection socket.
IPCSHUTDOWN error :
Native Mode Spooler message 9581
(OUTPUT)17:10/53/Output spooler, LDEV #230: Stopped.
I found this while looking for trouble, after receiving a call that printing
had stopped on LDEV 230. Apparently, this is actually someone's print
spooler in a remote location. I'm told it spools and then prints what it
receives from our 3000, but had not received anything since about 17:10... I
don't see anything else suspicious in the console log.
Before finding this, I did:
:spooler dev=230;show
LDEV DEV SPSTATE QSTATE OWNERSHIP ...
230 00000230 OPENED NO SPOOLER ...
spooler dev=230;start solved that problem, and printing resumed.
