Actually, if you're in the business of computers, this discussion is very
relevant and very important. There are any number of times that you are asked
to value the worth of your company and an accurate equipment valuation is
obviously a part of that worth.

Because of the massive size of our company and my position in it, I spend one
half of my days worrying about stuff exactly like this, the other one half in
customer support, another one half in actual programming, and the final one
half in strategy meetings. All of my remaining free time is mine to do with
as I wish.
