I beg to differ!
For the same business reasons that HP is dropping MPE, I believe they will
also soon drop HP-UX, get out of the OS business and put their support
behind Linuix. Of course, the transition from HP-UX to Linux will be
easier but still quite disruptive.
BTW: Is 5 years notice and support an HP policy or an HP policy? I doubt
that it is a Microsoft policy.
