GrowthPower is indeed written in BASIC/3000. It uses a lot of SPL procedures.
At least that's the way it was earlier this decade, circa 1991.

Compiled BASIC/3000 is very fast.

Kind regards,

Denys. . .

Hmm...the patch in question was developed in 1996.

And...it's for BASIC.

So, does GrowthPower use BASIC?!?! why? Does GrowthPower use a lot of CPU
time?
Just wondering...I know nothing about GrowthPower.

BTW, here's how to see if you need the patch:

   :basic
   10 print dat$(1,27)
   RUN
   SUN, JAN 4, 19:4, 2:25 PM
                ^^^^ should be 2000

Here's a run on a good version of BASIC:

   :basic
   10 print dat$(1,27)
   RUN
   TUE, JAN 4, 2000, 2:25 PM
