Thanks. I am familiar with changing the boot path during boot up, I just didn't know it was called the PDC menu.

This is referring to the primpath ISL command. This  modifies the primary
boot path in stable storage. PDC refers to Processor dependent code. The
various models of HPe3000 and HP9000 systems have different PDC and somewhat
different boot menus. IMHO the primary and alternate
boot paths should also be written down in a boot log book and kept handy at
the console. If the processor is replaced or the stable storage is reset
finding this information can sometimes be a very frustrating guessing game.
