I have not been following this thread; but did anyone think of
unplugging the 3K from the power source. We used to have a Mount St
Helen switch when I worked at Boeing, did the same thing.
The series 48 used to have an off switch by your knee, we put cardboard
over it.
This does require you being close to and having access to the plug or
the fuse (hopefully a circuit breaker) box.
