Hi Donna,
Lund used to publish a book titled "Taming the HP3000" written by
Robert Lund which we found useful in many ways, if I remember there is
some stuff on queue management in there, might be worth the investment.
As regards persistent jobs, if you require such a job couldn't you
use Control-M ( which I seem to remember you use ) to ensure that the
job is executed when the system comes back up ?

Subject: [HP3000-L] job queues?
hi all!
is there any better documentation for job queues other than
the 6.0 communicator? <sigh> anyhow....are job queues
persistant? that is, do they survive a reboot? or do they
have to be recreated (say at start-up time)?
also, if a job is in a wait state and the system crashes,
will it still be there if the system is restarted with
'start recovery'? - d
