Hello all. I'm sure this question has been asked but I could not find an
answer. I have a custom written app on an HP3000. It's 30 years old, was
written in Fortran and uses the Image DB. We just purchased a new piece of
software to do it's job but we want the data out of it's databases.

Is there an easy way to get this information off? I've done a little
researh and found Allbase/SQL on HP's web site. I suppose that could do
the job. What is involved in setting that up? Is that the best option?

My second question is this: I see a lot of talk about Linux on the HP3000.
Is there an easy way to convert a Fortran program that is running on MPE to
a C (or any other modern language) running on Linux (using the same
hardware would be nice)?

Thank you in advance and please email me also. I may never find the
replies. :)
