Hello,

This request is both off topic (as it does not related directly
to the HP3000), and un-official (as I am not asking as an HP employee).

My borther-in-law is a sales/marketing type at a very small software
company.
They sell software and "services" related to Afirmative Action planning
(among other things). Their software package is apparently pretty complete
and competitive and they are starting to get consideration from some
very large companies. He is strugling with how to structure their offering
to be attractive to a large company. Obviously they will have to give
some volume discounts, etc.

My question is: "Do any of you know of a contact at a smallish software
company that is similar to his?" Ideally, the company would:

a) be fairly small
b) market software and services (with the software packages being
   "higher end": $1000-$3000 full list)
c) market to larger companies
d) not a competitor (e.g. does not sell affirmative action or any
other type of personnel/human resources software). NOTE: their
   software is PC based.

I was thinking that one or more HP3000 software vendors may meet
the above criteria. Potentially he could contact someone from one
of those comapanies an inquire as to how they structure their
corporate discounts, etc.

Any lead you could give me would potentially help him out. I expect
him to treat any contact he is given in a professional manner. He
will not try to sell them anything and he will not give their name
(etc) to anyone else.

Please reply to me via private e-mail so that we do not clutter up this
list.

Thanks
Scott McClellan
