I know that 3000-L can be overwhelming on some days if not in Digest mode.

If this is not something you'd rather deal with, there's another access
method called NNTP.  Use your favourite newsreader and news server, and
connect to comp.sys.hp.mpe - and all of the traffic from HP3000-L is there -
you can pick and choose what you want to look at.

No newsfeed?  No problem - http://www.dejanews.com and go to
comp.sys.hp.mpe.  It's there too, about two hours delayed (through no fault
of the gateway - it just takes time to propogate around the 'net).
