If I may add something to this request.  We are also currently looking
to do the same functionality, but we would like it to be able to read
from many different systems (text files on Unix, Medical Manager files,
Universe files, IBM VSAM and flat files, and last but not least PC format
files.)  I realize this is more of a request for a middleware product
but this may help all parties involved.

Subject: Report Writers

Our applications folks want to examine the possibility of replacing our
current report writer  on our HP3000 with a client server product.  Our
current product is not quite there yet, so we would like to explore other
options.  The product must be usable by 'power user' types, not just
programmers.  Any web enabling technology would be a big plus.

Any suggestions, or experiences?
