While we're on the subject of Idiots:

Hurricane Dennis spawned its usual batch of groupies.

The weather reporters who, vying for their only chance at a Pulitzer,
(try to) stand stiffly on a pier in the middle of torrential rain, hurricane

force winds and crashing waves to tell us ignorant (but dry) listeners
it's wet and windy and we shouldn't be out in it. To those brave
weather people, "WE KNOW! GO INSIDE!"

I just hope they don't start covering forest fires with the same zeal.
